Grandma's Letters

This year marks the 16th year that we have been without our parents/ grandparents, Duke and Dalma Fuhriman, in our family. For those of us who are their grandchildren we have now lived almost half of our lives without them. For several years I have been meaning to make the letters that Dalma wrote to Duke, during his time in the Navy in WWII, available to all of you. I've attempted several times to scan all of the letters to create a digital copy or a book. It has always proved to be a huge project. I finally came up with a way to make it less daunting. I will be posting letters on this blog as I scan and edit the scans (some of the scans need the color adjusted so they can be read more easily). Each time I put up a new letter you should receive an e-mail letting you know about it.

I hope you will enjoy reading these letters as much as I have. It's been fun to get to know my grandparents, especially my grandma.
